Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using YouTube Scripts ("the Service"), operated by Sam ("the Operator"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the Operator.

2. Description of Service

YouTube Scripts is a tool that generates YouTube video scripts based on user-provided prompts. The Service creates content suggestions, production tips, and script formats optimised for the YouTube platform.

3. User Content and Responsibility

You are solely responsible for all content you create, publish, or distribute using scripts generated by YouTube Scripts. This includes but is not limited to:

  • The accuracy and truthfulness of any claims made in your videos
  • Ensuring your content complies with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations
  • Compliance with YouTube's Community Guidelines and Terms of Service
  • Respecting intellectual property rights of third parties
  • Ensuring your content does not infringe upon the rights, dignity, or safety of any person or group

4. Prohibited Use and Anti-Discrimination Policy

You agree that you will NOT use the Service to create, generate, distribute, or promote content that:

  • Discriminates against, harasses, demeans, or incites hatred or violence against any individual or group based on protected characteristics, including but not limited to: race, ethnicity, national origin, colour, caste, immigration status, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, disability, medical condition, genetic information, age, veteran status, marital status, pregnancy, socioeconomic status, political opinion, or any other characteristic protected under applicable international, national, or local law
  • Promotes, glorifies, or incites violence, terrorism, or physical harm against any person, group, animal, or property
  • Contains hate speech, slurs, dehumanising language, or content designed to degrade or marginalise individuals or communities
  • Promotes or facilitates human trafficking, exploitation, or any form of modern slavery
  • Targets minors in any harmful, exploitative, or inappropriate manner
  • Spreads disinformation, propaganda, or deliberately misleading content designed to cause public harm, undermine democratic processes, or incite panic
  • Promotes illegal activities, including but not limited to fraud, money laundering, drug trafficking, or weapons trade
  • Violates any applicable law, regulation, or legal obligation in any jurisdiction

The Operator reserves the right to immediately terminate your account, without refund, if you are found to be in violation of this section. We may also report violations to relevant law enforcement authorities where required or permitted by law.

This policy is informed by and upholds the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), and applicable anti-discrimination legislation in all jurisdictions where the Service operates.

5. Content Disclaimer

YouTube Scripts does not take any responsibility for the content generated by its systems or for how users choose to use that content. Specifically:

  • Generated scripts are suggestions only and may contain inaccuracies, errors, or outdated information
  • No guarantees are made about the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of generated content
  • The Operator is not responsible for any consequences arising from the use of generated scripts, including but not limited to account suspensions, legal claims, reputational damage, or financial losses
  • No guarantee is made that content will perform well, go viral, or meet any specific engagement metrics
  • Generated scripts should be reviewed and edited by the user before publication

6. Subscription and Payments

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically
  • Monthly script credits reset at the start of each billing cycle
  • Unused monthly credits do not roll over to the next month
  • Top-up (bonus) credits do not expire and carry over between billing cycles
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis at the Operator's discretion
  • All prices are shown in your selected currency and include applicable taxes where required

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the prompts you submit and may freely use the scripts generated for your own content creation. However, identical or similar scripts may be generated for other users based on similar prompts. YouTube Scripts does not claim ownership of your generated content.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

We collect and process your email address, payment information (via Stripe), and script generation history to provide the Service. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Prompts and generated scripts are stored to provide your script history feature and may be used to improve the Service.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with data protection legislation: we process your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent applicable laws. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data, and to object to its processing. To exercise these rights, contact us through the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, YouTube Scripts and its Operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

10. Termination

The Operator may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. In cases of violation of Section 4 (Prohibited Use), termination shall be immediate and without refund. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, though provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall remain in effect.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland. For consumers in the European Union, this does not affect your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

12. Modifications

The Operator reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
